THE SOUND OF A HEAVY RAIN

1 Kings 18:41 And Elijah said to Ahab, "Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain." (NIV)

Whenever God want to bless someone or do something big in a person's life He sends His word to that person, when he receives that word and act upon it he is positioned to have it happen for him. 

It hadn't rained in the land of Israel for some years. God was about to change that. His word came to Ahab the King of Israel "Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain." God may not do for you what you do not expect or desire. His word had to come to Ahab and the people of Israel to create in them an expectation for rain. They became used to drought; they might have as well forgotten about rain. 

Some people have gotten so used to suffering and the downside life. They are used to drought, penury, lack and want. Some have gotten to a point where they no longer expect abundance. Such people need to hear God's word to inspire and create in them an expectation for change. 

God wants you to expect something big because He is about to do just that for you. Listen to His word and the Holy Spirit to hear the sound of a heavy rain. You may have been desiring a positive change for so long to no avail but if you can hear the sound of a change then you can see that change in your life. 

Elijah said to Ahab "Go, eat and drink..." In other words relax and be confident. God is saying the same to you. "Go, eat and drink." Relax and celebrate there is a sound of abundance coming to you. 

PRAYER

Father I thank You for your word and the blessings thereof. Through your Word and the Holy Spirit I hear the sound of a heavy rain; I hear the sound of a positive change. I align myself with the Word to see and walk in the abundance that is coming to me, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
