SOMETHING MUCH MORE

Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, (NIV)

The Kingdom of God referred here is not the one in heaven. This refers to the church here on earth. The Word says we are not here on earth to eat and drink but for righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 

We are here on earth to walk in and share the righteousness, peace and joy of the Holy Spirit. When we got born again we received God's rightousness, peace and joy. We are expected to walk in these and experience them continually. And the other aspect of it, is to share the righteousness, peace and joy of the Holy Spirit with others. When we share the Gospel of Jesus with people and they believe they receive God's rightousness, peace and joy. They in turn grow in it, walk in it and share it. That's what life is truly about. 

The jailer who had charge of the prison where Paul and Silas were kept was filled with joy when he believed the Gospel because he received rightousness, peace and joy of the Holy Spirit. Acts 16:34 The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God —he and his whole household.
The Kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of rightousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. These three should be priorities in your life and set yourself to walk in them.

PRAYER

Thank You precious Father for bringing me into the Kingdom and given me your rightousness, peace and joy. I set myself to walk in them bringing honour and glory to your Name. Your righteousness, peace and joy are my experience today and always, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

(NIV) It's only the fight that you fight till the end that you have a chance of winning. When boxers engaged in a competitive fight they don't win if they quit at the first or second round, and they don't lose if they were defeated in the first or second round.
