DON'T FORGET WHO YOU ARE

1 John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. (NIV)

Who you are is the reason for your victory. Everything is defined by its nature. A man's essence is his nature. Having been born of God you have His nature. This defines who and how you are. Never forget this! Don't forget who you are. 

The reason some christians suffer what the rest of the world suffers is lack of the consciousness of who they truly are. Who you are in Christ is your everything.

Peter who denied knowing Jesus before a little girl stood before thousands of people and testified to the Gospel of Christ. One time he and John were going to the temple to worship when stopped by a lame beggar who asked them for money. Peter responded, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." - Acts 3:6
What made the difference in Peter? It was Christ in you; a revelation and realization of who he was. That's all every christian need -- a revelation of Christ in you.

However, some christians are quick to forget who they are. Most especially when they are faced with challenges. They set all their focus on their challenges until they are overwhelmed by them. The answer to every daunting circumstance is a consciousness of the Greater One in you. 

The Bible says "You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world."
This should be your consciousness and confession every so often; you declare who are and the Greater One inside you.

CONFESSION

I am of God, I hail from God, my origin is in God. And I have overcome every opposition, adversary and adversity because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

(NIV) It's only the fight that you fight till the end that you have a chance of winning. When boxers engaged in a competitive fight they don't win if they quit at the first or second round, and they don't lose if they were defeated in the first or second round. If you fell once or twice or even more you are not defeated if you are willing to continue the fight to the end. In the battles of life you must be ready to fight to finish.  A righteous person may fall many times but rises again. Falling is not a defeat if one is willing to rise up and fight to finish.
