PRAYING PROPHECY

1 Timothy 1:18 Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well, (NIV)

Apostle Paul asked Timothy to recall the prophecies once made about him that through them he could fight the battle well. The 'recalling' here is not a mere remembering but praying them to reality. He had to pray the prophecies into reality.

A lot of times when people receive prophecy they just sit and wait hoping for it to come true. But some prophecies don't come true that way. You have to pray them to reality. One of the things prophecy gives is direction. That means, some prophecies direct you to pray in a certain way. It would be unfruitful waiting for them to be fulfilled on their own.

Apostle Paul told Timothy that by praying the prophecies concerning him he could fight the battle well. Some prophecies are tools to give you victory in the battle at hand. It could be in your finance, ministry or marriage. You don't wait for them to come to pass but use them as tools to bring forth what should be in your life.

Pray prophecy, prophesy prophecy, declare prophecy. That's how to wage war by prophecy. If God said something about you, don't only expect its fulfillment but also pray the prophecy, declaring boldly what God has said concerning you. Praise God!

PRAYER

Father I thank You for your Word and Prophecies that has gone forth concerning me. By recalling and praying them I fight the battle well, declaring and prophesying them to reality, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
