A FIGHT OF FAITH

1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. (NIV)

Reading this above scripture is improper to interpret it as a warfare with the devil. A lot of Christians have the mentality that they are at war with the devil but that's not true; devil is under your feet defeated, paralyzed and disarmed. Some use such scriptures as the one above to support their claim. But this above scripture didn't suggest anything of such. 

The Bible says "fight the good fight of the faith" It's a fight of faith, not a fight with demons or devil. 
A fight of faith simply means to work out your faith irrespective of the contraries. It means to manifest the faith you profess irrespective of sight or feeling. 

Apostle Paul said to Timothy "take hold of the eternal life to which you were called." He was not telling him to receive eternal life, Timothy already had eternal life. He received it when he got born again. What he meant by that was 'take hold of the blessings and benefits of eternal life.' In other words, manifest the reality of eternal life. That's where the fight of faith is. 

Your faith says Christ is in you that means sickness cannot stay in your body. But you have this growth on your body, everyday it keeps growing. It's a fight of faith. It contradict your faith, it opposes your faith. It's a demand to put your faith to work. That's what it is. When you find situations and circumstances that contradict what God says about you, it's a call on your faith to prevail.
No need to complain, it's a fight, a good fight, put your faith to work.

CONFESSION

My faith is alive, active and prevailing. Through my faith declarations I prevail over circumstances of life and every opposition. I am what God says I am, irrespective of what surfaces I win. Hallelujah!

(NIV) It's only the fight that you fight till the end that you have a chance of winning.
