LIFE IS FOR PLEASURE

Psalms 16:11 You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. (NIV)

It is clear from the book of Genesis that God didn't intend suffering for man. He created everything; all that man would need before He formed man. He didn't create man, and say to him 'wait while I make things ready for you.' no! He made sure everything was ready before bringing man into the scene. God didn't intend hardship. He placed everything in the garden of Eden and ask man to enjoy. Pleasure is of God.
Suffering and hardship is clearly seen in Genesis 3:17 as a curse that resulted from man's disobedience. Pleasure is blessing, pleasure is of God.

Pleasure is not the same thing as revelry. Revelry is self-indulgence. Revelry is eating, drinking and celebrating to satisfy the flesh, often it is placing so-called pleasure above God. 1 Corinthians 10:7 Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: “The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.”

But the pleasure of God is far more than eating and drinking. You could derive pleasure in your job. It is the glow of the Spirit working out through you causing you to enjoy not only what you eat and drink but whatever you do. With this kind of pleasure life becomes exciting. It therefore doesn't matter where you are or what you do you find pleasure in it. Whether at work, school, business, church or home, cooking, eating, drinking you find pleasure in it. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

Lord You Made known to me the path of life; you filled me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand which are my experience today and always. Amen Hallelujah!

(NIV) It's only the fight that you fight till the end that you have a chance of winning. When boxers engaged in a competitive fight they don't win if they quit at the first or second round, and they don't lose if they were defeated in the first or second round. If you fell once or twice or even more you are not defeated if you are willing to continue the fight to the end. You have to learn how to move on from disappointment, failings, defeat, unfavorable circumstances and opposition. You will have to move on and move away from some oppositions and enemies.
