 INTRODUCTION

There is a question that every young man eventually faces, whether he voices it aloud or carries it silently in his heart: How do I find the woman I am meant to marry?

Some men answer that question by waiting. They sit still, hoping that one day a wife will somehow appear — as if God were in the business of dropping fully formed marriages into the laps of passive men. Others answer it by rushing. They chase every pretty face, give their hearts away carelessly, and end up wounded and confused. And still others answer it by ignoring it altogether, burying themselves in work, in hobbies, or in fear, until the years quietly slip away.

But Scripture gives a very different answer. Proverbs 18:22 declares, "He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD."

Notice the word finds. It is an active word. It speaks of searching, of moving, of taking responsibility. A man does not stumble into a godly marriage by accident. He does not receive a wife the way he receives the weather. He finds her — because he searched for her.

This book is written for the young man who is willing to search. It is written for the man who refuses to be passive, who refuses to settle, and who refuses to be ruled by fear. It is written for the man who wants more than a wedding — he wants a marriage that honors God.

We will see that she is not merely a companion, but a good gift, a favor from the Lord, a source of peace, joy, purpose, focus, help, companionship, warmth, children, home, responsibility, and ultimately, fulfillment. Each chapter is anchored in Scripture and aimed at the heart.

This is not a book about techniques or tricks. It is not a manual for manipulation. It is a call to biblical manhood — to rise up, to take responsibility, to walk in purity, and to trust God as you search.
