BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 30th APRIL 2025 CREDITED TO YOUR HEAVENLY ACCOUNT Philippians 4:16-17 for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid more than once when I was in need. Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account. (NIV) Apostle Paul speaking to the Philippian church acknowlegded the help they sent him more than once while in the course of the Gospel. He also made it clear that it was not so much about the gifts they sent him but that their heavenly account should be credited.  Every Christian has an account in heaven which is credited every time we give for the work of the Kingdom here on earth. Our giving are recorded in heaven, not just that they are written down but that they are deposited into our heavenly account. What we use our earthly possessions and treasures for is an indication of where our heart is.  Matthew 6:19-21 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths an...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 29th APRIL 2025 NO EFFORT IS ENOUGH Psalms 127:1 Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. (NIV) Those of us who rely on and function by grace can testify like Apostle Paul, "But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them —yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me." 1 Corinthians 15:10.  We work hard yet not us, but the grace of God that is in us. No effort is enough for true success in life. Grace grace effort, favour favour labour. In other words grace magnify effort, favour magnify labour.  Our theme scripture Psalms 127:1 declares "Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain." There are people in this world who rely solely on their efforts, and after a ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 28th APRIL 2025 OBEDIENCE IS BETTER 1 Samuel 15:22 But Samuel replied: "Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. (NIV) There is no telling what simple obedience to God's word could do for you. Often we want to give to God to express our love and reverence for Him, that's good but obedience to His word is better. God delights in obedience to His word than whatever we give Him. We see a clear example of this in the case of King Saul.  God gave King Saul clear instructions to attack the Amalekites and totally destroy them, men and woman and all that belongs to them. 1 Samuel 15:3 Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’" Saw went on the mission but contr...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 27th APRIL 2025 WISDOM IS EVERYTHING Proverbs 24:3-4 By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures. (NIV) Reading through the Bible you would discover that every good thing came by wisdom. God created this world through wisdom. The men who succeeded in their walk with God and the assignment He gave them was by wisdom. Indeed through wisdom a house is built; through wisdom life, success, victory and prosperity are built.  The outcome of a man's life is a reflection of his wisdom. His success or failure testifies to his kind of wisdom. There are different kinds of wisdom under the sun; the wisdom of the world, the wisdom of men, earthly wisdom and the wisdom of God. The only wisdom among all of these that guarantees true success, victory and peace is God's wisdom. God's wisdom is everything. That's the one the Bible ref...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 26th APRIL 2025 MIND GOVERNED BY THE SPIRIT Romans 8:6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. (NIV) Every individual has one mind, no one got two. And the mind is very crucial and instrumental to one's success, joy, peace and prosperity in life. The mind could either be governed by the flesh or by the Spirit. The mind doesn't really function in isolation; it functions either by the flesh or the Spirit. The mind does not function without information. So it rely on the flesh or the Spirit for information to function by. When the flesh governs the mind and supplies it with information, the Bible says "it results in death." But if it is governed by the Spirit and receives information from the Spirit it produces life and peace. It is important that you allow the Spirit to govern your mind if you are going to be productive in the things of the Kingdom and successf...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 25th APRIL 2025 IT TAKES DISCERNMENT 1 Corinthians 2:14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. (NIV) Don't spend time blaming those who do not understand the message of the Gospel of Christ and our way of life. They cannot understand as long as they are not born again and do not have the Spirit of God. Our theme scripture says the things of God, of the Kingdom, of the Gospel are discerned only through the Spirit. Don't expect them to understand and accept if they don't have the Spirit of God.  It takes discernment by the Spirit to know the things of God. Only the Spirit helps us know the unseen realities and live in them in this world. For example we who have been trained in the things of God, we literally live in the Kingdom of God here on earth. And the natur...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 24th APRIL 2025 REPAY EVIL WITH BLESSING 1 Peter 3:9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. (NIV) Living in a world where evil and wrongs are practiced and tolerated don't be tempted to do to people what they do to you. Don't repay evil with evil or insult with insult. God has a reason, the Word says "...because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing."  You have inherited a blessing, bless and do not curse.  People will push you to the wall, to that extreme where your tolerance and patience is tried but don't yield or condescend to their level of insults and evil. Live about it, and the way to live about it is by repaying evil with blessing.  The Lord knows how the people of the world are, yet He sent us among them. He said they are like wolves. Matthew 10:16 "I am...
