BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 22nd FEBRUARY 2025 SHE SAW WISDOM 1 Kings 10:4-5 When the queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of Solomon and the palace he had built, the food on his table, the seating of his officials, the attending servants in their robes, his cupbearers, and the burnt offerings he made at the temple of the LORD, she was overwhelmed. (NIV) Did you notice in the above scripture that the Bible says the Queen of Sheba saw the wisdom of Solomon? How could she see wisdom? What she actually saw was the deeds or results of wisdom. True wisdom is seen in action. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 21st FEBRUARY 2025 THINK OF HEAVEN ALWAYS Colossians 3:1-2 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. (NIV) When the Bible says we should set our hearts on things above it is not about tangible things in heaven but heaven as a Kingdom, government and place. Think of heaven always. You are to set your heart (affection) on heavenly things.  Setting your mind on heavenly things helps you to manifest here on earth the Kingdom life and principles. There is a way of life in the Kingdom of God, and as representatives we are to walk in that way of life here on earth. And for that to happen we have to think of heaven always.  An important reason we should fix our hearts on heaven is that we are citizens of heaven. We came from there and should pledge our allegiance to it. Philippians 3:20 But...

(KJV) In some cases there is a certain level of prayer and spiritual exercise required to effect certain decree of changes.  Prayer is an incense which is set before God as we pray, and the decree to which it is set before God depends on the decree to which we prayed.  Elijah had to pray for hours until the clouds gathered and pour down rain. His first attempt didn't work, the six didn't either, until his seventh attempt.  1 Kings 18:44 The seventh time the servant reported, "A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea." So Elijah said, "Go and tell Ahab, ’Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’" It took a while for Cornelius's prayers and gifts to come up as a memorial offering before God. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 19th FEBRUARY 2025 HIS WORDS AND HIS STRENGTH 1 Peter 4:11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. (NIV) God didn't intend for us to do what He called us to do in our own words and strength. He not only teaches us His Word but also puts it in our hearts.  Our opening verse instructs us to speak the very words of God and use the strength He provides so that God can be praised and glorified through Jesus Christ. The work God has entrusted to us can only be accomplished through His Words and strength. The Lord Jesus though being the Word of God yet spoke the words of God. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 16th FEBRUARY 2025 A LIFE BEYOND SENSES Luke 17:20-21 Asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He replied to them by saying, The kingdom of God does not come with signs to be observed or with visible display, Nor will people say, Look! Here [it is]! or, See, [it is] there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you]. (AMP) We actually belong to (He owns us) and belong in (a part of) the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom is a real spiritual kingdom in the spirit. And we are children of the Kingdom of God. We have the life of the Kingdom and the kingdom itself is set up in our hearts. It's something beyond senses.  The people of the day of Jesus enquired from Him when the Kingdom would come and the visible signs, but He told them that the kingdom cannot be observed with senses; it's beyond senses. And so is the life we have in the Kingdom. Our life is beyond senses...

(NIV) According to the provisions of the Gospel of Christ a Christian is not supposed to be lacking in anything. You are supernaturally graced, that is, divine-configurated; divinity is your essence. Oh glory to God! You are consistuted with divine verities.  Our theme scriptures unveils a profound truth, it says "..how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!"  God has provided grace for you abundantly such that you have grace for anything and everything. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 14th FEBRUARY 2025 SEE BEYOND THIS WORLD Hebrews 11:26-27 He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible. (NIV) This above scripture refers to Moses who regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than all the treasures of Egypt. He was not afraid of Pharaoh's anger. And the Bible tells us why; because he saw Him who is invisible. He was looking forward to his reward. He saw beyond this world. And we all need to. We will struggle and fall in times of trials and persecution if we don't see beyond this world. Look forward to the things to come; the true, lasting and great things that are in the world to come. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 13th FEBRUARY 2025 SOMETHING MORE THAN FOOD Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, "It is written: ’Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ " (NIV) If a Christian would desire spiritual food as he desire the physical he would be a lot far better and well positioned to display God's glory. Man was not made to live on bread alone but many do. The human person consist of the inward and outward. The outward man lives on physical food while the inward man live on spiritual food (the Word of God). Both the inward and outward man grows weak and malfunctions when not well fed, and could even die when not fed at all for a long time. Some people have long died in their inward man. That's why they do not respond to spiritual stimuli, for they can't.  There is something more than food my brethren; it is the Word that comes out from the mouth of God. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is —his good, pleasing and perfect will. (NIV) A continuous transformation requires a continuous renewing of the mind. People expect continuous transformation but not willing for continuous renewing of the mind. Renew your mind daily.  We want to know God's will every day in everything we are about but not every one of us renews our mind daily. Knowing God's will daily requires renewing the mind daily. Renew your mind with God's Word everyday. That's the only way to know what His will is daily; His good, pleasing and perfect will.  Some people wish not to conform to the pattern of this world yet they find themselves living in it. (NIV) Every way is not a way. Every way doesn't lead somewhere. A way might seem right and promising but the end of it is destruction.  As a Christian there is the way you should go. The Lord Jesus said "I am the way." There may be many ways but there is one way that leads to life eternal, that's Jesus.  John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. The Christian walk is not a hasty walk. Things doesn't go at your pace nor do you walk at your pace. You walk on the way as He leads. Don't hasty your walk of faith; your progress and how much you accomplish does not solely depend on you.  The Bible says "...how much more will hasty feet miss the way!" --- Proverbs 19:2. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 7th FEBRUARY 2025 A LITTLE PATIENCE 1 Samuel 13:8-9 He waited seven days, the time set by Samuel; but Samuel did not come to Gilgal, and Saul’s men began to scatter. So he said, "Bring me the burnt offering and the fellowship offerings." And Saul offered up the burnt offering. (NIV) We can draw a great lesson from this account of Saul. Saul was waiting for Samuel the Prophet and Priest of God, who would offer the required offerings on behalf of the King Saul and his men. But when Samuel was yet to come and Saul's men began to scatter he offered up the offerings which was unlawful for him to do. He was not patient enough to wait for Samuel the Prophet. Doing the wrong thing because things were going wrong is not enough to justify the wrong done. 1 Samuel 13:6-7 When the Israelites saw that their situation was critical and that their army was hard pressed, they hid in caves and thickets, among the rocks, and in pits and...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 6th FEBRUARY 2025 GO FORWARD Exodus 14:15 And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: (KJV) Often we say "stand still and see the salvation of the Lord." Quoting what Moses said to the Israelites on there way out of Egypt. But was it God's idea that they stand still? We have to know. It was Moses idea to encourage the Israelites with those words. God said the opposite to him, He said tell them to go forward. Exodus 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. Their enemies were on their heels, what were they to stand still for? The only way they could see their enemies no more was not to stand still but to go forward. Though prayer is a means provided by God to receive our needs, prayer is much more than this.  If we only pray when we have needs, then we may always have needs to pray about but not enjoy the true purpose of prayer. Prayer is a communication, fellowship with God. If you only communicate with your earthly father when you have need then there is a problem. It means you are selfish, self-centered and not loving. God desire fellowship with us all the time. The primary purpose of prayer is fellowship, not to meet our needs. Man came from God, He is our source. To remain in His purpose for creating us and be truly useful we have to remain in contact with Him, and the only way to do that is prayer. Prayer is communion with God. You don'...

(NIV) Christ in you and you in Christ is basically the same thing; it means inseparable oneness with Christ. It is just exactly as Jesus said about Himself and the Father. John 14:11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. John 10:30 I and the Father are one." He says "I am in the Father and the Father is in me, I and the Father are one." We too can say exactly the same. I am in Christ, Christ is in me, I and Christ are one.  It's true, you and Christ are one. And this is the new creation; and it is your now reality. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 3rd FEBRUARY 2025 CHRIST; THE NEW CREATION Colossians 3:10-11 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. (NIV) This above scripture clearly implies that the new self (new creation) is neither Gentile nor Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, slave or free but Christ; Christ is all and in all. This means that Christ is all that is in the new creation; the only content of the new creation is Christ. Christ in you makes you a new creation.  The first line of our opening verse says "and have put on the new self...."  In the book of Galatians Paul tells us "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ..." Putting on the new self (new creation) and putting on Christ is the same thing. That means Christ is the new...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 2nd FEBRUARY 2025 HE ALWAYS DO MORE THAN Ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, (NIV) Often times when we ask God for anything we focus solely on receiving exactly what we ask. We hardly consciously think that He will do immeasurably more than what we ask of Him. But He always do more than. God works according to our need more than He does according to what we ask or imagine. He does for us what we need not really what we ask or think. If what we ask or think line up perfectly with His will He does it and add more, but if it doesn't line up perfectly with His will He does for us instead what line up with His will for us. If you ask Him for anything and don't receive it, look around for what He has done for you instead that is more than what you ask or imagine. How much we receive from God depends on His power that is at work...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 1st FEBRUARY 2025 OUR LIGHT AFFLICTION 2 Corinthians 4:16-17 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; (KJV) The Bible acknowledge that we experience affliction, that is; trouble, hardship and persecution. And all of these affects our physical body; our outward man. Though our outward man perish, suffers, our inward man is renewed day by day. This means that the affliction of our physical body doesn't affect our inward man unless we allow it to through our wrong confession.  The Bible says our affliction is light. We might think we are going through a lot but the Bible says it's light affliction. And that it is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
