Chapter 8 Chapter EIGHT A SURE HARVEST Harvest is always sure when a seed is sow. What will you expect when you discover yourself (life-purpose), drive out fear of failure, remove doubt (uncertainty), lose it (invest it), sow it and take a giant step to greatness? I believe you would expect a harvest of greatness. Hallelujah! Where a seed is sown there is bound to be a harvest.    WHAT TO HARVEST  1. Eternal life: - He that fulfills his God given life-assignment in the will of God will receive eternal life. That is, eternity in God's presence. 2. Joy: - The fullness of joy will always flow in you when your harvest comes.   3. Abundance: You will have abundance in many things. 4. Identity: You will have identity; you will be identified with your success. 5. Honor: - People will honor and revere you when you fulfill your life-purpose. 6. Recognize: - You will gain the recognition of all. 7. Blessing: - You will be blessed and be a blessing to others.                      8

(NIV) Forgiveness of sin is only possible through Jesus Christ because He paid for our sins by His death. The legal state of a believer is sin-free. Yet many live with a sense and burden of condemnation. If you did something wrong and acknowledged it before God you receive remission; that is blotting out as though it was never committed. But some people would allow self-condemnation to make them ineffective. You are not in your sins. Your wrongs are not with you. If things are not going well it is not a result of the sin you committed yesterday, no! Having received forgiveness you received remission. Walk with your head high up. EPISODE 3 MAKE UP YOUR MIND  Make a certain decision and move in that direction. Verse 6: For the Lord had caused the Arameans to hear the sound of chariots and horses and a great army, so that they said to one another, look the King of Israel has hired the Hittites and Egyptians Kings to attack us.  What a miracle!! You may never attain that miracle, breakthrough and open doors unless you take a step. If God could do this miracle with four leapers - men who were without good hands and legs, how much more you? The danger you are afraid of will not be there when God take a step with you. Jesus has triumphed over those failures, pains, even death for you. Just believe. God want to do a miracle in your life, family, society and your generation but you need to take a step. Greatness is in you, success lives in you. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (NIV) We are living in a world where doing good doesn't seems to pay. If we would judge by people's attitude towards our good deeds we would become weary. Some people do pay back evil for good. But that shouldn't stop us from doing good.  The Bible says that we would reap a harvest if we do not give up doing good. And that harvest can only come from God. The harvest of doing good comes from God. It's important we keep this in focus while doing good. EPISODE 2 THE FOUR LEPERS Read 2Kings 7:1-11 The true story here tells us of the four lepers who made up their mind and took a life-changing step. A step that would change your life often looks like a step that would break you. To know the result of your decision you must first take the decision. Verse 3: Now there were four men with leprosy at the entrance of the city gate. They said to each other. Why stay here until we die? It was a time of great famine in the land of Israel. These four lepers were staying at the gate of the city. The famine was so severe, terrible to bear and survive in. They  had no hope. Staying at the city gate connotes rejection, cast away, not worthy and not useful. I do not know your state of rejection, abandonment, poverty, barrenness and shame. I don’t know how low and down you are right now, but, why stay there until you die? You might be down beyond your understanding but don't dwell on it, beyond where your faith could lift you but don't rule you

EPISODE 1 Chapter SEVEN  NOW IS THE TIME: TAKE A STEP There may never be a better time to take a step of greatness than now. Now is the perfect time for you to cross over that barrier, evils and failures. The time is right for you to overcome poverty, failure, disgrace and limitation. You have to make up your mind about your plan and pursuit, and take a decisive step. Your life-purpose will not be fulfilled unless you take a step; a decision to move forward. (NIV) Coming towards the end of the year some might look back to what the Lord has done for them during the year and find that some promises, words or prophecies are yet to be fulfilled. Maybe at the beginning of the year or during the year you received a prophecy in the Word concerning what God would do for you in the year but now the year is almost over and nothing has happened in regard to that.  For Abraham it was the same. The man became rich and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.  Genesis 26:12-13 A man who lacks the favour and blessing of God labours all his life without achieving anything. A man may use his knowledge, experience, strength and certificate, yet if he lacks the blessing of God he would labour in vain. What you need to succeed is the favour and blessing of God. God says "...not by power nor by might but by my Spirit,... -- Zachariah 4:6. The Bible says "by strength shall no man prevail." If God does not build the builder builds in vain. The blessing of God makes a man rich and adds no sorrow to it. You need to receive the blessing and favour of God for your life. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (NIV) Jesus' birth, death and resurrection was for us. He was born of man so we could be born of God. He put on flesh so we could put on divinity. He became man so we could become god. It was all for us. The above verse says "...and the government will be on his shoulders." Shoulder is a part of the body not the head. Jesus is the head of His body the church. The government, rulership and authority is on the shoulder of the church. He came to put us in government, rulership and authority. We put us in charge.  Jesus didn't need victory over satan. EPISODE 2 REAPING THE SAME Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever one sow, that will he also reap. Galatians 6:7 As I have seen, those who plow iniquity and sow trouble reap the same Job 4:8 What do you want to harvest in your life? What do you want to be in the future? That’s exactly what you need to sow. Good tree doesn’t bear bad fruit neither does a bad tree bears good fruits, every tree is recognize by its fruits. For your fruit to be a success, start living a life of success and victory; a faithful life, holy and acceptable. You have to be loyal and honest in all your ways, be careful to follow God’s way, live and walk in the light to receive the things of the light, bearing in mind always that a man reap the same thing he sows. Do not sow in many ways without a focus; put your eggs in one basket. Be focused. Do not pursue a career in Nursing and at the same time pursuing another one in Business. You may lose both of them. He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed —the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not. (NIV) God spoke these words in the above verse to Abraham at the time he had no child. He said to him "I have made you a father of many nations." Notice he didn't say "I will make you a father of many nations." God speaks 'fulfilled-word', anything He says to you is actually His reality. God knew His word concerning Abraham was already fulfilled though he was yet to walk in it physically. Like Abraham God has made you. Whatever you desire to be or achieve He has already made it possible. EPISODE 1 Chapter SIX   SOW IT IN TEARS The season of sowing cannot be neglected if we actually need harvest or fruit. There is no way we can harvest something without first sowing. As a man cannot walk into a bank to collect money without first depositing money there, so a man cannot walk into harvest without first sowing. Sowing takes time to produce harvest. As a farmer cannot sow today and quickly harvest the next day even so a man cannot sow into his life and harvest it the following day. Sowing also takes pain. Ask any farmer the pain it takes to plant a farmland; the response will not be pleasing to your hearing. Likewise with any man who wants to invest in his talent and gift, he will definitely pass through pain. Be aware of the pain involves in order to endure it. Farmers usually know the pains it takes to get to the harvest, so they are ready for it. (NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Church in Philippi, said they should rejoice in the Lord always. He didn't say they should rejoice in themselves but in the Lord. That calls for spiritual insight.  It takes spiritual insight to see what we got in the Lord and rejoice. When you are ask to rejoice over something it means that it holds significance and value. No nobody would ask you to rejoice over something that's not to your advantage. We have everything to our advantage in Christ, and it is our responsibility to recognize them and rejoice.  Looking at your physical environment and, maybe the circumstances of your life you might have reasons to feel bad and dejected. You invest your money, time, knowledge, even property to have it increased in return. What you invest doesn’t remain with you; rather you lose it for a while in order to gain it back in multiple folds. EPISODE 1 Chapter FOUR    DOUBT (UNCERTAINTY) Doubt is the opposite of faith. Faith is the certainty that we have for what we do not see, yet with much assurance. Faith is the ability to see in the dark while doubt can’t even see in the light. Doubt is blindness. As blind people cannot see even with the brightness of the sun so it is with people who are blind spiritually; who do not have visions for their life. They are unable to see possibilities. In the arena of hope they remain hopeless. They live in darkness even when there is light around them; they failed even when successes keep knocking their door. When opportunity comes their way they see it as a risk that should not be taken. To every stepping stone to greatness they see as a stumbling block. (NIV) There are thanks that God rejects. Thanking God with words or substance is not enough. An acceptable thanks requires a reverence attitude. Thanksgiving in words or with substance is worship. Our worship of God is more about our hearts than the elements used. Your words and substance; givings, presentations, gifts and offerings are elements of worship. And all of these could be a mere religious show if we don't apply the right attitude. We are required to give thanks in all circumstances. EPISODE 2 OVERCOMING THE FEAR OF FAILURE    1. Fear of the unknown:  Many people are afraid to try because they actually don’t know what will happen next. You must analyze both success and failure when setting goals. Be fully aware and prepare for both success and failure, be ready to take the lesson of failure if it comes, but always expect success. 2. Positive Thinking: - Think and think positive. You create possibilities and confidence through positive thinking.  3. Have a Plan B: - Have a secondary plan when you are afraid of failing, it gives you confidence to move forward.         4. EPISODE 1 Chapter THREE FEAR OF FAILURE Fear of failure is one of the biggest obstacles of taking a step to greatness. Fear of failure is failure in itself.  Fear has torment. It is of the devil. He easily covers you with his veil that you may not recognize or have interest in your talent, gift and life pursuit.  Sin makes you fall short of God’s glory, his splendor, blessing, light, power, victory and every good thing in Christ.  Sexual immorality is commonly responsible for the living but dead youths in our societies today.  Most of the youths of our generation have lost their values, virtues, glory, strength and life-purpose to sexual immorality. BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 16th DECEMBER 2023 SWAYED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT Acts 11:24 He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord. (NIV) This above verse refers to Barnabas. It says he was full of the Holy Spirit and faith. To be full of the Holy Spirit in this sense is not the same as to have or received the Holy Spirit. The communication is not to inform us that Barnabas had the Holy Spirit, but that he was filled; so full of Him such that he was swayed in a certain direction.  To be swayed means to be controlled or influenced. Barnabas was so influenced by the Holy Spirit such that his thoughts, words and actions were swayed by Him. He couldn't think, talk or act outside the leading of the Spirit. EPISODE 2 Talents are HIDDEN because of the following seven reasons:- 1. Laziness: Some are too lazy to be successful. They see it too stressful to reach certain goals in life, for their laziness they see certain levels unattainable. They lose battle before the fight begins. They always claim; "if it were like this, I could have done it; if it were like that I could have done it." They are not always ready to fight or stand in their present condition. They always wish and suggest different weather or atmosphere, they are really too lazy to use their talents.  They always day-dream, never really putting their hands to work or put in effort to succeed.
