BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 31st MARCH 2025 BE EXCITED ABOUT CHALLENGES James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (NIV) The Word instructs us to be joyful in trials. To consider trials as opportunity to express the Joy of Lord which is in us. He says we should be excited about challenges. The Word calls it trials of many kinds. There could be many challenges. We can be excited in the face of challenges, not because of the challenges but what it will produce for us, in us and through us. We look at the testimony that will ensue and celebrate in advance. Our joyful response to challenges means we know we are more than conquerors. Additionally, it is a testimony in advance. It is an expression of trust in our Lord, knowing fully well He got ou...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 30th MARCH 2025 PUT NO CONFIDENCE IN THE FLESH Philippians 3:3 For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh — (NIV) Putting no confidence in the flesh means not replying on who you are, what you have, where you are, what you can do according to your outward self (your flesh), your power or effort.  In the context of the above scripture the Apostle Paul talked about those who promote the flesh and boast in what they are able to do according to the flesh. They boast in their ability to keep the law; their good deeds. And consequently trust in their self righteousness. He said he himself had more reasons to boast in what he was able to do according to the law. But he refused to put his confidence in the flesh. Philippians 3:3 For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no con...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 29th MARCH 2025 HE WILL LEAD YOU THROUGH Psalms 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. (NIV) The Lord is your shepherd. He is the One leading you. Having received the Holy Spirit He leads and guides you. He leads you into abundance. He leads you into all good things. There is something striking in Psalm 23. In verse 1 He says the Lord is my Shepherd, I lack nothing. Then in verse 4, let's read. Psalms 23:4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. The One who started leading you and led you into abundance is the same who led you to the darkest valley. It's important we take note of this.  King David's manner of communication shows that the Shepherd was right there with him in the darkest valley. He says "I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." It was the Shepherd who led ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 28th MARCH 2025 THERE IS A SPIRITUAL HOUSE 1 Peter 2:5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. (NIV) The Church is a body. This body is a spiritual house built with the spirits of those who are born again. Every Christian is a living stone with which this house is built.  Every house is meant to be inhabited. This house is inhabited by God, He lives in this house by His Spirit.  Ephesians 2:21-22 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. Every individual Christian is God's house. His conducive dwelling place. It is a spiritual house; that is, your spirit. God lives in your spirit not actually your physical body. Your physical body is only subject to expre...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 27th MARCH 2025 CELEBRATE IN ADVANCE Isaiah 54:1 "Sing, barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband," says the LORD. (NIV) When you find God's word like this very scripture you celebrate it in advance. That's what God meant when He said "Sing, barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy,"  He said to the barren woman, even to Israel, "Celebrate in advance" because I am about to change the situation. He says the same thing to us today! 'Celebrate in advance!' Maybe you find yourself in a situation you don't want to be, and you are trying to come out of it, perhaps there is a situation you want to change, it could be your health, business or marriage. When you find God's word concerning such don't wait until y...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 26th MARCH 2025 DON'T EXPECT THEM TO ACCEPT IT EASILY 1 Corinthians 2:14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. (NIV) In the course of preaching the Gospel of Jesus we encounter people who disagree with our message and argue about its authenticity. It sounds foolish to them because they do not understand it, and it takes only the Spirit of God to understand the things of God.  The message of the Gospel of Jesus is not for the senses. It is not something the most sensually intelligent person can easily accept. Don't expect people without the Spirit of God to easily accept the Gospel we preach.  Aside that the natural senses cannot accept the things of the Spirit the devil has also blinded the minds of unbelievers. So you see their situation is very complicated, unl...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 25th MARCH 2025 FACE THE FACT WITH TRUTH Romans 4:19 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead —since he was about a hundred years old —and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. (NIV) Ignoring the facts of your challenges is not faith, and it won't change the situation either. Our father Abraham whom we just read about in our opening verse faced the fact that his body was as good as dead, he acknowledged that he was about a hundred years old and could not impregnate a woman, and that Sarah's womb was also dead. He acknowledged and faced the facts. He didn't hide from the obvious facts, and then say "I am not old, I am not yet a hundred years old, Sarah's womb is not dead." Faith is more than that. Faith is not a denial of facts but denying the facts the power to control your life.  What Abraham did was to face the facts of his circumstances with the truths of God. He ha...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 24th MARCH 2025 NOT BY THE STANDARDS OF THIS WORLD 2 Corinthians 10:2-3 I beg you that when I come I may not have to be as bold as I expect to be toward some people who think that we live by the standards of this world. For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. (NIV) There are those who have observed us and tried so hard to know why we do what we do and how we do them. They think we live by the standards of this world, they use all worldly parameters to try to ascertain our level and the force behind us to no avail. They have failed in all their attempts to size us, but they are not aware --- "For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does." They don't know and they can never know about us, because we are discerned only through the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 2:14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them f...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 23rd MARCH 2025 THERE IS FREEDOM 2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (NIV) Did you just read that? Have you received the Spirit of the Lord? It is for freedom. Do you live in this freedom? Our theme scripture says "...where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." Live in freedom Brother! Living in the freedom which Christ brought you into is dependent on, firstly, whether or not you have the Holy Spirit, secondly, on knowledge. Not many people are aware that there is freedom. My brothers and sisters, there is absolute freedom in Christ. Romans 8:9 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. If you are born again then you have the Spirit of Christ; the Spirit of the Lord, and it is for freedom...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 22nd MARCH 2025 BE ORGANIZED AND ORDERLY 1 Corinthians 14:40 But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way. (NIV) Apostle Paul instructed the church "... everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way." God expects the church to be organized and orderly. Our church settings should be fitting, organized and orderly. The way we conduct our services should be organised and orderly. When we worship we should be organized and orderly. Those who lead in praises, worship and prayer sessions should not lead the church in a haphazard manner; that would hinder the move of the Spirit of God. It is important that we teach these things in our churches.  And this message also applies to individuals. As a person be organized and orderly. God doesn't do much with people who are not organized. If you have a meeting in two hours time don't wait until it's twenty minutes to the meeting before you start getti...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 21st MARCH 2025 WOMAN IS THE GLORY OF MAN 1 Corinthians 11:7 A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. (NIV) The Bible declares that man is the image and glory of God but woman is the glory of man. In man you see the glory, beauty, goodness and kindness of God but in woman you see the glory, beauty, goodness and kindness of her husband.  Man is the object of God's love and the revealer of God's goodness. And a man who loves his wife reveals his kindness through her. It is in a man's wife you see a man's heart; his glory or his shame. A woman is the praise and honour of her husband; not only to receive his honour but also to bring him honour. A man's life is not truly complete without a woman. A woman not only reveal the glory of man but also bring him glory. Though a man can fullfil his God-given assignment without a woman, there are men who cannot ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 20th MARCH 2025 JUDGE NOTHING BEFORE THE APPOINTED TIME 1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God. (NIV) This above scripture is very instructive and we will do well to heed to it. Judgment is of the Lord and He has appointed a time for it.  Some people do not resist the prompting to judge others. You have to resist that intuition or impulse to judge others.  When the Bible says not to judge that is not the say thing as not to say anything when you see something that is wrong. If you see someone doing what is wrong you are free to correct the person but don't condemn him. The Bible didn't say don't talk or say anything when you see what's wrong rather it says don't judge. To judge means to decide, to pass judgment --...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 19th MARCH 2025 YOU ARE SACRED 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; FOR GOD’S TEMPLE IS SACRED, and you together are that temple. (NIV) The Bible declares that God's temple is sacred and that you are that temple. You are sacred.  Sacred means God-filled, holy and set aside unto God's use. The physical temple in the old testament was called holy, the furnishings and articles in it were called holy because they were set aside unto God's use and His presence was on them. Read this scripture and take note of the word "HOLY." Numbers 4:15 "After Aaron and his sons have finished covering the HOLY furnishings and all the HOLY articles, and when the camp is ready to move, only then are the Kohathites to come and do the carrying. But they must not touch the HOLY things or ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 18th MARCH 2025 IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND 1 Corinthians 2:12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. (NIV) Many of us are not living in the provisions of the Gospel, we pray, we even fast, but still we do not fully live in them. The answer is clearly spelled out in our theme verse. We are given the Spirit of God in order that we may understand what God has freely given us. God has already freely given us all things, what we need is to understand what and what He has freely given us. And it is only the Holy Spirit who can help us understand those things and bring us into them.  Apostle Paul knew that it takes the Holy Spirit and His enlightenment of the heart for a Christian to know what God has freely given him. So in Ephesians 1:18 he prayed for the believers, "I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 17th MARCH 2025 RESOLVE TO KNOW NOTHING ELSE 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. (NIV) In a world where knowledge is everywhere; where there are lots of things to know about. In a world full of different philosophers and their philosophies Apostle Paul said "I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified." There were other things to know but he chose rather to know only Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Think about that! What have you resolved to know? In a world where knowledge is everywhere; where everyone claims to know something and wants to share it, what do you want to know? The world has its own knowledge and wisdom. Would you seek the world's knowledge and wisdom or choose to know Jesus and the things pertaining to His kingdom? It's a choice. And interestingly it is a daily choice. Every day you ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 16th MARCH 2025 THE GOSPEL; THE CROSS; THE POWER 1 Corinthians 1:17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel —not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power. (NIV) The Gospel is the good news that Jesus died on the cross for man's sins and He was raised from the dead for man's justification. But this same message that saves is foolishness to men of senses. But it is the only power of God to save.  The power of the cross of Christ is that man doesn't have to do anything to be saved from his sins other than to believe and accept that Jesus' death on the cross was for him. But many sees this as foolishness. They even argued that they didn't live before Jesus, how could He had died for the sins they didn't commit. But it is power of God to salvation. 1 Corinthians 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 15th MARCH 2025 ENRICHED IN EVERY WAY 1 Corinthians 1:4-5 I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. For in him you have been enriched in every way —with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge — (NIV) The Apostle Paul writing to the Corinthians church said that grace has been given them in Christ Jesus and that in Him they have been enriched in every way. And the first things He mentioned in respect to the riches is all kinds of speech and all knowledge. That means knowledge and speech are riches.  Not many of us would think that our knowledge and good speech are riches. But the Bible says they are. Count your righteousness, wisdom, knowledge and good speech (ability to communicate understanding) as riches. Riches is not only in terms of money. Your good health is riches. Not many people are enriched in every way but Apostle Paul said the Christians in Corinth were enriched in every way. W...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 14th MARCH 2025 ONLY THE WORD CLEANSES THE HEART John 15:3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. (NIV) In the world we have cleansers for various things. We wash and clean our clothes with washing machine. We clean our shoes, furnitures and others. We do this from time to time because from time to time they get strained. But there is nothing in the world that can clean the heart from strains and corruption except the Word. Only the Word cleanses the heart. The dirts of the heart are listed in Mark 7:21-22, "For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come —sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly." What can cleanse one's heart of these dirt except the Word? Only by the washing with water through the Word. Ephesians 5:26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, The L...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 13th MARCH 2025 THE LIFE John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (NIV) It beats the ordinary mind to comprehend that Jesus is the eternal life. But the Lord Jesus said so Himself. He said He is the life. He didn't say He has the life but that He Himself is the Life. He is the spiritual life. There is the plant life, there is the animal life, there is the human life and there is the God-life. Humans have human life and you can't separate that life from them. That's what makes them human. You can't separate the life of God from God. The life of God is the essence of God. That means Himself is the life. And it is called eternal life. Eternal life doesn't only mean a life that's forever but the eternal nature of God. Jesus is eternal life; He is the eternal God. 1 John 1:1-2 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, whic...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 12th MARCH 2025 A NEW DAY; NEW OPPORTUNITIES Lamentations 3:23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (NIV) God's faithfulness, mercy and grace are new every morning and so are opportunities. If you missed an opportunity to do something great, don't be perturbed or weighed down, a new day offers you new opportunities.  Opportunities are new everyday. Each day life offers us the chance to take correction and do things right. We may not always make the right choices but each new day gives us an opportunity to choose again. This is the beauty of life.  See each new day as an opportunity to take new opportunities. New opportunities come each day, you don't have to whip yourself about the missed opportunities of yesterday, look around for today's opportunities and take them. Opportunities are new every morning and God is faithful to always bring them.  Don't focus on what is gone, look instead at wha...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 11th MARCH 2025 IT'S JUST A SHADOW Psalms 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. (KJV) In the course of our journey through this world we will have troubles, even the Lord Jesus said so, but also said that He has overcome the world for us.  There are times we are faced with challenges that seems insurmountable, at times it seems that failure, shame or even death looms. But King David in his days had a similar experience. And He declared in Psalms 23:4 "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." It might be death threatening, it might be failing threatening, sickness threatening but it's a just a shadow. It's not real. As long as it doesn't align with what God has said concerning you it is just a sh...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 10th MARCH 2025 CALLED INTO ONENESS 1 Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. (NIV) The primary purpose for which the Lord Jesus gave us His life is to make us one with Him and by Him one with the Father. The Lord Jesus prayed to the Father that we may be one with Him and the Father. John 17:22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one — Our opening scripture says that the Father called us into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ. The word "fellowship" there does not mean communication but partnership or oneness. What God the Father actually called us into is oneness with His Son and by His Son with Himself. We are called into oneness with the Almighty God. Think about that for a moment! That is the reason we are joined or united with the Lord Jesus so that in Him we might be united with the Father in an inseparable on...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 9th MARCH 2025 DELIGHT YOURSELF IN THE LORD Psalms 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (KJV) There are people who render service in the church but do not delight in the Lord or what they do in the house of the Lord. Some people carry out their responsibility in the house of the Lord as a duty not as a delight. Learn to take delight, joy and pleasure in what you are privileged to do in the house of God. And most importantly learn to delight yourself in the Lord.  The Bible says in Psalms 37:4 "Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart." Be delighted in the Lord; take pleasure and joy in your relationship with the Lord and what He instructs you in His Word to do. That's where the blessing lies. Serving the Lord grudgingly or half-heartedly will not yield much results but if you serve the Lord delightfully He will give you the...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 8th MARCH 2025 WISDOM IS ORDAINED FOR YOUR GLORY 1 Corinthians 2:6-7 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: (KJV) It's interesting that God has ordained wisdom for our glory. What does this mean? It means wisdom is God's prerequisite for us to experience His glory in our lives. If we are to experience His glory in our lives we must speak His wisdom. And God's word is God's wisdom.  The wisdom referred in our theme verse that would bring glory is the word or wisdom about Christ's death for man's sin and His resurrection for man's justification and what it means to man. 1 Corinthians 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of Go...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 7th MARCH 2025 LIVE BECAUSE OF HIM John 6:57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. (NIV) The Lord Jesus lived because of the Father and He said the one who feeds on Him will live because of Him. Living because of the Father meant He lived for the Father. He said and did what the Father would. He preached in Capernaum, Jerusalem, Samaria because the Father would. He healed the sick, cleansed the lepers, raised the dead, cast out devils, preach the Kingdom, forgave sins and showed love in the place of the Father; He did exactly what the Father would. Today, the Lord Jesus charge us who feed on Him to live because of Him. We shouldn't live for ourselves, do things as we want but as He wants. We are to speak and do things in His stead, doing what He would. And that actually tells that our life is not ours but His. If we live for ourselves we will be j...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 6th MARCH 2025 IN THE FATHER'S NAME John 5:43 I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him. (NIV) The Lord Jesus said He came in the Father's Name. But what exactly does that mean? It means He came to live in His Father's stead. He was the representation of the Father; He was to the world and to man who the Father is to them -- God, creator and savior. He said what the Father would say and did what the Father would do. When He is present you don't ask for the Father; He was the exact representation of the Father. The works He did was in the Father's Name. A name actually means all that one is. So Jesus came in the Father's Name, representing all that the Father is. And did works only the Father could do.  John 10:25 Jesus answered, "I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, Tal...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 5th MARCH 2025 A LAWYER WITH THE FATHER 1 John 2:1-2 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father —Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. (NIV) Jesus did not only die to free us from our sins but He is today also our advocate (lawyer) with the Father against sin. It's important to note that Jesus is not our advocate to the Father or against the Father but with the Father. To be our advocate to the Father means He speaks to the Father for us, defending us against the Father's judgment, but that's not the case. And He is neither our advocate against the Father. He is not arguing with the Father and giving Him reasons to not punish us for our sins. The Bible says He is our advocate with the Father, that is a huge difference. Jesus is our advocate...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 4th MARCH 2025 SEE BEYOND NEEDS AND WANTS Matthew 6:25 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? (NIV) If we would take this scripture into our hearts and act by it, it would make a whole lot of difference in our lives and give us peace like a river. All the turmoil, worries and agitation results from our needs and wants. The Lord Jesus asked "Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?" In other words "life is more than needs and wants." See and live beyond your needs and wants.  There are lot of people whose lives are all about their needs and wants. That's all they live for; they need this they go all out for it, they want that they go for it. Their lives is predominated and pre-dictated by their needs and wants. Don't allow your needs or wants...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 3rd MARCH 2025 WASHED, SANCTIFIED AND JUSTIFIED 1 Corinthians 6:11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (NIV) It is only in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God that we are washed, sanctified and justified. In Christ we have been washed, sanctified and justified because of what He has done for us. He shed His blood for us and washed away our sins in His blood. Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, Don't be among those who say we are all sinners, no! We are not all sinners. We who are born again the Bible says we have been washed, sanctified and justified. We couldn't be the same anymore. Of course we ...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 2nd MARCH 2025 CARRY EVERYONE ALONG 2 Timothy 2:20 In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. (NIV) This scripture implies in a way that everyone is not at the same level, and that all are useful in their respective ways. In a large house we find articles not only of gold and silver but also of wood and clay. This tells us that small and great people have a common place in life. Friction comes when we try to separate small and great people into separate class. They are both needed. Gold as well as wood is needed for their respective purpose.  If you are a leader at any setting or level learn to carry everyone along. Everyone has a place, and in most cases they are irreplaceable. If we force to replace them we would distort the whole setting. Everyone may not be your liking but if they are under your leadership you have the re...

BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 1st MARCH 2025 THEY ARE ALL USEFUL 2 Timothy 2:20 In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. (NIV) The scripture above just states that everything and everyone doesn't serve the same purpose. Some serve greater purpose than others but they are all very useful in their own capacity. At times we tend to despise the seemingly less important things not realizing that their usefulness cannot be omitted.  In the church we all do not have the same responsibility, and some people do not even have responsibility at all yet we are all very useful. Those who preach are not more important than those who sing, nor is either more important than those who listen. They are all equally useful in their own capacity and purpose. Our individual roles may fulfill distinctive purposes but none is less important to the other.  1 Corinthians 12...
