EPISODE 2 NOT RESTRICTED TO GIVING Sacrifice is not restricted to giving. Foregoing is sacrifice. In economics, in a list of priorities, what you forego in order to get another is the true cost of what you got not the price you paid for it. For example, you want a car and a house, but your money is not enough to acquire both. You decided to get a car instead. Your cost of getting the car is not the price you paid for it but the house you forego for it. That's sacrifice. In love relationship, this kind of sacrifice proves love greatly. How much can you forego? How much can you leave behind to follow the one you love? Love is like a tree its grows and produces the right fruits when the right things are done. This kind of sacrifice causes love to grow.  When you find the one you love there could be things you can't carry along with him or her, if you are not ready to forego them, then you don't truly love him or her.  Mark 10:28-30 Then Peter spoke up, "We have left every

(KJV) The blessing of the Lord is an ability. It is a divine unction or glory that causes whatever one does to prosper and multiply. The blessing is not riches. Riches is not the blessing. The blessing makes one rich; riches is a fruit of a cultivated blessing. The blessing you do not cultivate or harness will not bring you riches. Every child of God is blessed but not every child of God is rich materially. Because when God blessed you He expected you to harness riches from it. Deuteronomy 8:18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today. God gives you the ability to produce wealth. When you received the Holy Spirit you received the ability to produce as much wealth as you want.

EPISODE 1 Chapter 8 -- Love is Sacrifice Sacrifice is giving that which is so dear to you. It is giving your best. Sacrifice is not giving what you don't have or giving so much that means nothing to you. It is not in quantity but quality. It is not measured by its size but how dearly it is to you. It is defined by what it means to you, not so much by what it means to the receiver.  One could give something that's so dear and important to him and it could mean little to the receiver because of the capacity of the receiver. Sacrifice is primarily measured by what it means to the giver not the receiver though the receiver may know the value.  For example if you had only one car and gave it to someone who has three cars already, he would value and appreciate it. But it won't mean so much to him as how much it means to you to give it out. It cost you much more than what it worth to him.  Love is sacrifice. That is, love is giving that which is dear to you. It is giving your best

(NIV) An Angel speaking to Zechariah about the birth of John the Baptist and his ministry said many things and one of them was "the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous." His ministry would turn the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous. The wisdom of the righteous is a mindset of the righteous that pre-dictated their thoughts, words and actions. The mindset of the righteous is a mind which know, understand and live in the will of God. It is a mind dominated by the word (will) of God. The disobedient are the unbelievers. If they listen to the word of God understand and accept it they would have the mindset of the righteous.  The wisdo

EPISODE 2 NO GREATER LOVE John 15:12-13 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. Selfless love is the greatest. Certainly no love is greater than this. Selfless love is a willing love. No greater way to express love than to selflessly lay down one's life, possessions, position, prestige, glory in order to lift and help others up, not considering what one could gain or loss but only focused on what others could become through his love. This is true love in expression. It is a selfless love. Only by loving this way can we truly maniest Christ's love to others tangibly. (NIV) After the transgression of Adam God drove him away from  His presence. Humanity was literally driven away from God's presence in the spirit realm. Man was driven from God's presence (His glory). But in Christ those who are born again are freely justified, revived and restored back into God's presence. EPISODE 1 Chapter 7 -- Love is selfless Those who are full of self cannot love. Love is selfless. Self is a big obstacle to loving others. Love seeks to make others better but those who are full of self only want to make themselves better. It is impossible for a self-full person to love others.  True love is seeing the best of others and buying into it. True love is improving others. A true lover is not a competitor. He is not concerned that the other person might get better than him. No! His self is not involved. Those who involve self in love are not made perfect in love. Love must be perfect in expression. Perfect love is selfless. Love starts with thoughts. When you set your heart to think well of others you are cultivating an attitude of selfless love. Those you don't think good about you can't genuinely love them. And He did that for a reason. The Jesus the Jews saw was not all that He was. He only tabernacled Himself in that body. He was given a body for a cause. He came from heaven to be the payment for man's sin. And He needed a human body to accomplish that. He came to be an atoning sacrifice for man's sin. EPISODE 2 LOVE IS SUBSTANCE The Bible expressively teaches us how to express Love. And God showed us example to follow by His deeds.  His love for us met our greatest need of salvation. Our love has to meet the needs of others too. 1 John 3:16-18 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. We couldn't have known that Jesus loved us if He didn't lay down His life for us. His love became real and tangible to us because He gave His life so we could live. We are implore to lay down our lives for others just like Him. Rather itself is hurt when others are hurt and finds a way to express its care for them. Love cares. Care is substance. Care is answer. Love answers to the needs of others. Jesus' love for the church is the perfect example for marital love. He loved the church as His wife and gave Himself up for her to make her what He wanted Her to be; without stain, wrinkle or blemish but Holy and Perfect. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church — for we are members of his body.  Christ cares for the church. EPISODE 2 Everyone wants someone who will love them irrespective of their weakness. Someone who is willing to help them out of their failings, not one who will nail them to it. People want to be loved and that, that love brings them relief not grief. If your words makes your loved one grieve then it is a hurtful love. You have to consciously live love. It is important that you understand what love is, and how to administer love.  Love is a ministry. You minister love to others. Ministry means sharing. And love is sharing. You share love to those you said you love; you share (minister) shield and defense to them. You don't love her if you can't shield her weaknesses in public and correct her in private. You don't love him if can't defend his mistakes in public and correct him in private. If you magnify her weaknesses you don't understand love yet. EPISODE 1 Chapter 5 -- Love is protection Love is shield, love protects. People who love you would protect you emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually as they could.  God's love for us is a shield. We are shielded by His love. We are protected and kept because He loves us.  Love is a defense, it defend those it loves. Love is not vulnerable. It is a shield that cannot be conquered or brought down. When all else are defeated and brought down, love remain standing. It resist fall or fail. Love is resistance -- 'I won't give up on you'. The test is not from God but He allows it. The test is not to qualify you for the promotion but to test how mature you are to occupy such a position.  The Bible says in Daniel 3:30 "Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the province of Babylon" Before their promotion was a great of their faith. Often the test that precedes promotion is a test of ones faith; it often has to do with ones faith in God.  Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego's faith in God was tested, and when they passed the test the king promoted them. It means he or she is dear to you. It means he or she means something to you. How much you love people is how much you value them. When God use a channel to supply to you He does not expect you to set your confidence in that channel; at times God use a channel one-off. Chapter 2 Episode 2 LOVE FULFILS THE LAW Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not covet," and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." But how much of them we enjoy depends on our knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. Knowledge here refers to intimate knowledge which comes through relationship. The level of Grace and Peace we enjoy is directly connected to our relationship and fellowship with God. The deeper your relationship with Him the greater your peace and grace.  If you find yourself wanting peace or grace what you need is not prayer but a meditation on the Word and how it relates with you.  Chapter 1 episode 2 HIS LOVE IS TANGIBLE God's love is not just in words though He told us in words. He made His love tangible; seeable and touchable. His love came down in the person of His Son, Jesus Christ. He manifested His love in the person of His Son. So we could see and touch His love. It was not just words but words with proof. A proof that we can touch and relate with. His love is tangible. The Love that can't be seen and touched is no love at all. Love must be felt. We have the feeling of His love in our hearts; a tenderness of peace, rest, security and assurance.  1 John 4:9-10 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. There is always that opposition coming from somewhere. There is always that wind blowing against one's plan and direction; it's from the devil. Some wish that there were no oppositions on their path they would have done much by now. "Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap" - the Bible says. It's not about the wind, the clouds, the oppositions and the contraries. It's about your focus. Those things are destined to come but don't observe them. If not from anything else at least from your own experience you can tell that trouble, contraries and oppositions are part of the walk. It is how you deal with them that makes the ulti

 Chapter 1-- God is love God is love. That is who He is. He is not full of love but Love is His essence. Love is His substance. That is who He is. Loving is His natural expression. He doesn't try to love. Loving is His living. He cannot but love.  He relates with Love. He deals by love. Even His anger is a holy anger; a displeasure towards evil - an expression of love. He corrects His children with the rod of love. Everything God does is in the light of His love. Man may see it differently but there is love behind every of His action. Love is His nature; His substance; His essence. He can only express His nature.  The object of His love cannot change the nature of His love but could change how much he receives. He is always loving in the same volume or magnitude but how much an individual receive of His love is dependent on the individual's capacity - which is defined by his knowledge of, and relationship with God.  BREAKFAST WITH JESUS A daily devotional Pastor Stanley 14th OCTOBER 2023 HIS WILL NOT TROUBLE FREE 1 Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.(NIV) When you follow God's will as revealed in the scripture or heard His voice directly asking you to do something and heed to it, that doesn't mean you won't have trouble. You might wonder "I know very well this is God's will yet I am facing challenges." Challenges are not excepted from God's will. If He asks you to walk on a path it doesn't mean it's going to be a free walk.  In all the paths we walk in life and all the challenges on them He asks us to give thanks irrespectively. He didn't expect us not to face challenges but that we triumph over them. There is no path that God would ask you to walk that you wouldn't find trouble. What you should do is give thanks to Him for what the trouble will produce and then triumph over it.  Read ou

Scripture does not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and to your seed," meaning one person, who is Christ. ...If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.(NIV) We are not Abraham's seeds but Abraham's seed. Abraham has one spiritual seed and that seed is Christ. If you are in Christ you are the seed of Abraham. All the blessings and promises God gave to Abraham are actually fulfilled in you.
